About me

Hello, and welcome to the blog of a sword-and-sorcery writer. I also write some science fiction and some horror. My work has appeared in Flashing Swords ezine, Amazing Journeys Magazine, GrendelSong magazine, “Down in the Cellar” ezine, the “Freehold” anthologies from Carnifex Press, “All Possible Worlds” magazine and “Every Day Fiction.” I also will have a story in the “Black Dragon, White Dragon” anthology coming soon from Ricasso Press.
I also used to do some slush reading for Flashing Swords ezine, and am a co-editor for an anthology called “The Infinity Swords,” due in 2008 from Carnivah House.
I’ve written one novel and am trying to sell it while working on a second novel. I have a couple more novels planned beyond that.
I’ll mostly write in this blog about the ups and downs of writing fiction and trying to get it published.
If you found this blog because you are interested in my writing, and would prefer to read only posts pertaining to fiction, see the post categories Writing and My Fiction in the sidebar. That way you can avoid reading my rants on current events, my love affair with beer and my opinions on movies that left the theaters ages ago. If you want to read that other stuff and join the conversations, though, you are more than welcome. Topics are categorized in the sidebar.
If you want more detailed info on my fiction, here’s a list of published works, with links to the publishers, and here’s a list of stories I have coming up.
If you’ve read a story of mine somewhere and wish to leave a comment — good or bad — feel free. Feedback can only help me improve. There’s a page on this blog called “Reader comments” where you can tell me what you think or ask questions about my fiction.
Beyond writing, my interests include history, religion, science, politics, literature, pulp literature, chess, music, beer, Godzilla, James Bond, baseball, proper English and a bazillion other things.
