New horror story published …
My horror story, The Blood of Thousands, is online now at Down in the Cellar ezine.
It’s the only vampire story I’ve ever written, but I think it manages to bring something new to the genre. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it.

Fine tale, Steve. Had a good twist in the plot, one I’m surprised no one has ever thought of before in the vampire genre (or maybe they have and I’m just not aware of it).
Veery nice. I’ve never run into the starlight twist either but it’s such a ! (I mean that in a *good* way, i.e., why hasn’t anyone thought of this before??) And a sweet moral dilemma - infinite evil facing infinite forgiveness - in a very nicely done voice. Damn, son, you’re good.
eek - I meant, “it’s such a [duh!]” Funny thing, angle brackets.
Why, thank you both. I’ve had this one in circulation a while, so I’m glad it’s getting read. I think a lot of editors have dismissed it as soon as they figured out it is a “vampire” story. But I’ve always rather liked it, and submitted it in various iterations.

And, again, woohoo. None more deserving, story or author.

Hey Steve nice story and it was a different twist. I liked it a lot, great story.
Great story, Steve!
Any editor that passed on this just because it had vampires should be… well, something bad…
Review blurb: Best take on a vampire tale since Woody Allen’s “Count Dracula”.
